The trust was established in 1978 by Charles Littlewood Hill in his will. He lived in Little Plumstead, Norwich and was the nephew and trustee of his aunt, Lady Hind. In his will he set up the Charles Littlewood Hill Trust to be run on similar lines to The Lady Hind Trust, hence the Trustees bias towards making donations which benefit Norfolk and Nottinghamshire.
The Trust is a general charitable trust allowing the trustees to apply the income for such charitable purpose or purposes or in the furtherance of any such charitable objective or objects as they shall in their absolute discretion from time to time think fit.
The Trust prepares annual accounts copies of which can be found on the Charity Commission Website.
The Lady Hind Trust is a connected charity (registered no. 208877) because it has common trustees to The Charles Littlewood Hill Trust.
